The city of Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province sent a team of 20 medical workers to Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, on Feb 9 to help with the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP).

The medical workers, 14 of whom are Party members, come from seven hospitals in the city, according to local authorities.

"This is a good chance to learn how to prevent and control the NCP. I will do everything I can to help patients in need," said a chief physician at the emergency department of the Zhoushan Women and Children Hospital. "I believe we can win the fight against the disease."

Wang Saisai, head nurse at Zhoushan Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and her older brother Wang Hui, an associate chief physician at the Zhoushan People's Hospital, were surprised upon discovering they had both joined the team, as they both decided to not tell their parents and other family members.

"I will wait for you to come back safely. Good luck, mom! Good luck, uncle," said Wang Saisai's daughter through video chat.
