Six employees of Boeing (Zhoushan) Completion Center Limited Company were approved to enter the city of Zhoushan in Zhejiang province after being identified and checked carefully at a passenger transport center on Feb 10.

Several staff members at the center gave the employees some flowers as gifts and extended a warm welcome to them before they left.

"Zhoushan's prevention and control of the novel coronavirus at the passenger transport center is very good," said an employee surnamed Wang. "Staff members checked temperatures for us and taught us how to protect ourselves from the virus."

They are the first batch of return-to-work enterprise employees who have been allowed to enter the city since the virus broke out, according to local authorities.

The company is the first overseas completion and delivery center of Boeing, a world-famous multinational corporation based in the United States focusing on the design, manufacturing and marketing of airplanes.

"We sent a bus to bring the employees back to their residences. They won't return to work until they finish a few days of quarantine," said He Guoquan, chief administrative officer of Boeing (Zhoushan) Completion Center Limited Company.

In order to cope with the travel peak after the Spring Festival holiday and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, the city has set up inspection stations at local passenger transport centers, officials said.
