The Wulixiang Care Service Center was recently launched in Wulong village, Shengsi county, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province.

The village, covering an area of 6.8 square kilometers, is largely reliant on the tourism industry. It is currently home to 1,574 elderly residents.

The center covers an area of 660 square meters and has two floors. The first floor is mainly for recreation and daycare and has a reading area, a television room, a tearoom, a daycare center with ten beds, and more.

According to local authorities, the daycare center will be free elderly residents of the village.

The second floor is used to provide nursing and medical services, including mental health consultation and physical therapy.

In order to provide dining services to more elderly, the center set up a canteen at a local auditorium which can accommodate up to 100 people.

The center, in cooperation with the local official health center of the village, has set up a health management system for local elderly residents and will perform free physical examinations for them.
