A fellowship activity for expatriates in Zhoushan was held on Cezi Island in Dinghai district on Nov 28.

The activity was held by the foreign affairs office of the Zhoushan municipal people's government with the help of the bureau of science and technology of Zhoushan.

Nearly 50 foreign experts, teachers and students from nearly 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, Greece and Pakistan, participated in the activity, played games, and shared their Zhoushan stories.

The organizers arranged a number of activities, including a local martial arts performance, to give attendees the best experience possible.

"Zhoushan has changed a lot in recent years. I hope to keep working here for several more years," said Sebastian, a foreign teacher at the Zhoushan Greentown Yuhua (International) School.

"I like meeting other foreigners. I came to China alone, so it's good to see other foreigners here," said one expatriate during an interview on the same day.

After the activity, the expatriates joined in a campfire party organized by the local tourism departments.

There are currently about 600 expatriates studying or working in aviation, ship maintenance, education, and several other industries in the city, according to data from the Zhoushan Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.
