A volunteer piano player in Dinghai district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province recently became popular online.

Gu Xiaobing, the 47-year-old volunteer, works at the Dinghai Harbor Service Center.

He started to learn piano at the age of 20 and knew he had discovered his passion. Since then, he has spent hours practicing every day.

Gu first volunteered in 2012, when he spent two days playing at a hospital in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province.

Over the past seven years, he has continued to bring comfort to patients and staff members at 75 hospitals in holidays.

"I hope I can bring peace and comfort to more people. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon," said Gu.
