Zhoushan Network Media Co was recently awarded for its outstanding teamwork at a meeting for editors-in-chief held by the urban online news media association in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

The company, formed in 2008, is based in Zhoushan. It mainly reports on the lives of locals as well as social and economic development in the city.

In recent years, the company has been dedicated to media convergence, and has built several media platforms, such as news websites and mobile apps, which receive over 800,000 visitors per day.

Media convergence refers to the interconnection of information and communication technologies, computer networks and mobile devices.

The company was among the first five members to join the association when it was established in 2004.

After 15 years of development, the association has amassed over 130 members.

The meeting is held every year by the association. This year's meeting consisted of several keynote speeches, an exchange forum and a report on the work that the association has done.

The meeting attracted many journalists and editors throughout China who discussed media convergence and dissemination patterns, among other topics.
