Foreign student representatives of Zhejiang Ocean University (ZJOU) from 18 countries performed the classic song I Love You, China in Zhoushan on Sept 25, according to university officials.

They said the ZJOU students put on a good show to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Having been influenced by and enjoying the charms of China's rich culture, university officials said the foreign students had come to understand the folk customs of Zhoushan and now regarded the university as a second home. 

A young woman from Russia is one of the representatives. She already obtained her first master's degree in ZJOU, but she went back to the university to start work on a second degree this September.

Another foreign student from Rwanda said he is a big fan of the Chinese language. He said that he was extremely happy to be able to learn Chinese.
