Zhoushan held an evening gala in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on Sept 29.

The event was staged by the publicity department of the city. Over 1,000 representatives from all works of life attended the gala.

Performers consisted of actors and actresses from local art groups. The whole performance featured 16 programs in various genres, including song and dance, showcasing Zhoushan's great achievements over the past 70 years.
