A promotional conference on intelligentization was held on Sept 26 in New Town, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province.

Representatives from institutes and enterprises, including the Shanghai Shipbuilding Technology Research Institute, shared their experiences in intelligentization.

According to local authorities, the conference was held by Zhoushan's office of economic and information technology in order to improve the automation, digitalization, networking and intellectualization of local enterprises.

In addition, the conference also aimed to set up a series of demonstration manufacturing enterprises and production lines, providing examples that can then be emulated and accelerating the transformation and upgrading of local enterprises.

Since the beginning of 2019, Zhoushan has carried out 100 intelligentization projects, 87 of which have been launched. Six projects were set up as demonstrations.
