Putuo district in Zhoushan successfully held its second Farmers' Harvest Festival on Sept 23 to great fanfare.

The festival, hosted by the municipal government of Zhoushan, is an important part of the city's efforts to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Local residents performed songs and dances to express their pride in the nation and gratitude. Farmers also brought fruit and crops to show their abundant and happy lives.
