Beach festival contest that I absolutely overtook and won

If I said the "City of Shanghai", people will immediately think of tall skylines and busy traffic. All of which are true and more, but Shanghai's popularity is not able to thwart the beauty of Zhoushan. Not only will tourists be able to bask in Zhoushan's many natural beaches, but also its spiritual temples.

After making first contact on the island, I was greeted with a breeze of moisture coming with the smell of the ocean. The two accompany each other nicely to create a pleasant atmosphere to take car or bike rides during the day, and the winds carrying the cool taste of the sea made walks during the night enjoyable. 

I particularly enjoyed walking along the pier during the evening and saw a variety of different nightlife such as handkerchief dancing and games of Chinese chess played amongst the elders. There are dozens of beaches and coves that accompass the island which are visited with dozens of buses filled with tourists each day. 

Events are hosted quite often and I was lucky to have a big barbeque and live show hosted during my visit. I was even able to participate in their contests and win. The diners of the city will always serve a fish course and it is undeniable how fresh the taste is. Since the city is built next to the ocean, the markets are always filled with freshly caught crustaceans and seafood. I had the opportunity to ride in one of their fishing boats to their local fishing outputs and witnessed how they manage their supply. 

The many different types of fish they served will never allow one's pallet to grow unsatisfied. Although I am not a big lover of seafood, I could not deny the fact that the ways the fish was prepared and the seasonings used made each of the dishes original and delightful.
