An activity showcasing the culture of Shengsi county in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province was recently held.

Several intangible cultural heritages such as local fishermen's songs and storytelling accompanied with gong playing (a traditional Chinese musical instrument) were performed on stage.

Local craftsmen taught visitors to make Zongzi (a special rice dumpling eaten at the Dragon Boat Festival), decorative strings, sachets and ship models. Shi'ai Tea, a local tea variety, was also served for visitors.

In addition, archives depicting the traditional wedding customs of the county, as well as dozens of related objects, were displayed, invoking a feeling of nostalgia among the older generation. 

The activity lasted around two hours.
