City's Study, a bookstore with no staff, recently opened in Dinghai district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, the first of its kind in the city.

Citizens can read and borrow books at a self-service machine with their ID cards, citizen cards or library cards issued by the bookstore. 

The store realizes intelligent management by automatically opening in the morning and closing at night.

There was no book loss during trial operation these days. Local residents also took care of their garbage to keep the store clean.
