A cycling event was held in Shengsi, an island county in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province on May 19, the China Tourism Day. 

Nearly 300 cyclists from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Jiaxing, Huzhou, and Shengsi took part in the event. 

The cyclists chose between a 55-kilometer or 20-kilometer route, and enjoyed some of the county's beautiful scenery along the way.

According to local sports authorities, the activity was held not only in celebration of China Tourism Day, but also as a warm-up for the 2019 Zhoushan Archipelago New Area Women's International Road Cycling Race to be held in the county on May 21. 

In addition, the Fitness Month in Shengsi also started on May 19.
