The government of Shengsi county in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, recently held a tourism promotion meeting in Shanghai. 

More than 200 companies from Shanghai and Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces attended the meeting. Ten tourism projects were signed between companies and the county.

"Shengsi enjoys an advantageous location near Shanghai, which means there is great potential for us to tap into the tourist markets in Shanghai and its neighboring cities," said Lu Ying, deputy director of the county's tourism authorities. 

"In addition to the successful signing of 10 projects, the promotion meeting also helps boost our county's tourism by enabling people in the Yangtze River Delta region to have a better understanding of Shengsi," added Lu. 

At the promotion, free seafood and other delicacies from the county were provided, and folk art such as paper cuttings and fishermen's paintings were displayed.

A new way of exploring multiple local islands within a day was also introduced, which is the major area that Shengsi tourism authorities have been developing recently.
