Exports of injection molding machine screws in Jintang Island, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, have maintained steady growth in the early months of 2019, local media reported on April 23.

Statistics from the local administrative committee show that the value of exports of the screws reached 38.68 million yuan ($5.76 million) during January and February, up nearly 3 percent year on year. Companies specializing in production of such crews and with annual revenue of over 20 million yuan generated 634.52 million yuan of output, up 20.16 percent year on year.

Jintang Island is currently the nation's largest production base for injection molding machine screws, taking up over 70 percent of the domestic market share.

The administrative committee has made vigorous efforts to support the industry in recent years. It has built a screw detection and R&D center to provide comprehensive and efficient detection services for companies, and launched a three-year action plan to drive the sustainable development of the industry.
