A delegation of eight companies and public institutions from Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province recently attended the 17th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

They went to promote Zhoushan's favorable talent policies and business climate, and seek cooperation with foreign experts, training institutions, schools of higher learning and technology enterprises.

Organized by the Bureau of Science and Technology of Zhoushan, the delegation held discussions with many professional organizations and talent agencies, and both sides expressed willingness to cooperate. 

In addition, the delegation visited two famous listed local high-tech companies – BGI, a globally leading life science and genomics companies, and ZTE, a leading comprehensive communications solutions provider – to study advanced technologies, such as gene detection, 5G and the internet of things, and seek further cooperation. 

The Conference on International Exchange of Professionals is currently the only national-level talent exchange conference in China that is dedicated to foreign expert organizations, training institutions and professionals.

More than 4,000 organizations and institutions from 52 countries and regions across the world attended 66 activities at the conference, including 8,500 foreign talents and 9,300 representatives from China's public institutions.
