A photo exhibition showing the tremendous changes that Putuo district of Zhoushan has experienced in its economy and society over the past seven decades recently opened at the district's cultural center. 

It is being held in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. 

More than 30 photos from folk photography enthusiasts are on display, covering the natural scenery, intangible cultural heritages, residents' daily lives and the urban and rural landscapes of the district. 

The exhibition will last until the end of March.

This year, the cultural center plans to hold one such exhibition every month to display photos, calligraphy works and paintings from folk grassroots artists, so as to encourage the sense of happiness and pride of local residents towards their hometown.
