A promotional meeting of the Zhoushan Archipelago New Area and the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) was held on March 2 in Ningbo, a neighboring city of Zhoushan in Zhejiang province. 

More than 250 Zhoushan entrepreneurs who are running businesses in Ningbo attended the meeting, including Zheng Jiafeng, chairman of the Zhoushan Chamber of Commerce in Ningbo. 

The fourth member conference of the second Zhoushan Chamber of Commerce in Ningbo was also held that day. 

The chamber, founded in 2010, currently has nearly 200 member companies specializing in many industries such as real estate, foreign trade, mechanical manufacturing, auto parts, textile, IT and electronics.

Statistics show that there are more than 500 companies registered by Zhoushan natives in Ningbo, which play a significant role in driving the economic development of the two cities. 

Wang Wei, director of the United Front Work Department of CPC Zhoushan Committee, introduced the investment environment and future development strategies of Zhoushan and Zhejiang FTZ, and recognized the achievements of the chamber since its establishment.

Wang expressed his hope that the chamber will lead member companies to make more contributions to the two cities' development and drive the integration of Zhoushan and Ningbo.
