A service platform for promoting modern marine industrial innovation was launched on Feb 27 in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province.
The platform, or the Zhoushan Modern Marine Industrial Innovation Service Complex, was selected last February as one of the first industrial innovation service platforms to be built in the province.
It focuses on gathering all kinds of innovation resources for the development of companies specializing in marine biology and marine electronic information.
The launch ceremony also witnessed the signing of cooperative agreements between the China Technology Market Association and the Bureau of Science and Technology of Zhoushan, and between the platform and several local companies.
After the launch ceremony, representatives of 19 companies had a panel discussion with directors of the platform.
Statistics show that 131 such platforms had been launched at the provincial, city and county levels in Zhejiang by the end of 2018, including 82 serving traditional industries and 49 serving emerging ones, covering the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors.
