A short video of an American young man enjoying pickled crabs in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province recently went viral on the Internet.
The pickled crab is a local delicacy in the islands city of Zhoushan.
The young man, whose Chinese name is Xiao Bu, praised the crab in the local dialect which he learned from his girlfriend Sun Qing, a native to the city's Daishan county.
They came to Sun's home to celebrate Chinese Spring Festival. The hospitable Sun's family also invited Xiao Bu to taste some waxberry wine, another local delicacy.
Sun met Xiao Bu when she was interning in Beijing and the two started a relationship out of mutual attraction.
Sun and Xiao Bu are now working on business development for an engineering design company and an indoor design company in Beijing, respectively.
"He is very cute," said Sun, adding that her parents also think him very handsome, smart and responsible.
The city of Zhoushan has proven its increasing openness to the outside in recent years, with 23 local residents marrying a foreigner last year.
