Fu Yafang, a member of the CPPCC Zhoushan Committee, deemed the strengthened property rights protection by the government an essential way to improve the business climate for private companies. She also proposed to establish a coordination mechanism to protect the legal rights of these companies.
Zhang Wei, another member of the committee, suggested introducing more foreign workers and strengthening professional training for employees to address the labor shortage of private companies.
"We also need to strengthen the social security mechanism, improve the employment environment and urge companies to raise the pay to retain the workers," said Zhang.
Other suggestions such as reducing administrative service charges and improving financial services for private companies were also put forward during the annual two sessions.
The fourth session of the seventh People's Congress of Zhoushan convened on Feb 15 and concluded on Feb 18, while the third session of the seventh Zhoushan Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened on Feb 14 and concluded on Feb 17.
