Putuo district in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, was recently named as one of the province's model districts in all-for-one tourism, according to news released by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
All-for-one tourism is a new concept of tourism that highlights the integration of tourism resources with other industries. It was included in the government work report in 2017 to cater to the country's growing demand for tourist services and to facilitate economic transition.
The district has released many measures to support its all-for-one tourism since it was named as a candidate for such model districts at the national and provincial levels in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
It has built multiple characteristic towns and tourist demonstration zones that integrate tourism with other industries such as agriculture, fishery and agriculture, and has ongoing tourist projects worth 27.9 billion yuan ($4.12 billion).
The district currently boasts eight national Class-A scenic areas, including one national 5A-level (the highest level) and three 4A-levels, among other major tourist attractions, such as a national marine park, a national demonstration zone for recreational agriculture and rural tourism, a national demonstration zone for recreational fishery and a national training base for offshore fishing.
Annual tourist revenue growth of the district has averaged 19.9 percent since 2011, beating other districts in the city in this regard.
