Jagoda Jaroslaw Andrzej, a Polish man living in Dinghai district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, recently went viral on the internet for his kind deeds that contributed to the local city construction.

Andrzej married a local girl and has lived in the district for nine years. Every day he helps look after a shop run by his friend on the Huancheng South Road.

Seeing that there was often busy traffic in the nearby crossroads at around 11:00 when students finished their morning classes, Andrzej would always wait at the roadside ahead of time and help students to cross the road.

"There were sometimes a few people breaking the traffic rules, but I'll remind them," said Andrzej, adding that traffic is improving thanks to Zhoushan’s efforts in recent years to build itself into a national civilized city.

While taking care of the shop, Andrzej also helps clear the public space in front, something appreciated by local urban management officials.

"I hope the city of Zhoushan will be more and more beautiful," said Andrzej.
