Expats can now enjoy a more convenient life or working experience in Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, thanks to the recent launch of an expat service guidebook at the city's Zhejiang Ocean University (ZJOU). 

The book, compiled by local authorities, covers information of the city in various aspects ranging from transportation, tourism, shopping, accommodation, catering, public facilities, education and health care.

"The international students at Zhejiang Ocean University constitute a main force that drives the globalization of the city," said an official from the city's foreign affairs department, extending his hopes that the book will help with their studies and life in Zhoushan.

An international student at the university said that the book is like a bridge that leads them to a better quality of life in the city, and promised that he will actively participate in the city's public activities to contribute to its urban construction.
