The Cell Technology and Precision Medicine Summit Forum was held in Putuo district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province on Nov 3.

The forum attracted experts and scholars of renowned universities and research institutions from home and abroad, including Zhejiang University, University of Southern California and Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University. 

It focused on the high-end and cutting-edge technologies in the medical field and the future development of the big health industry in Putuo. 

'Big health' refers to an encompassment of healthcare industries under one umbrella, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, medical equipment, and sports equipment. 

As an important part of the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the first batch of national health tourism demonstration bases, Putuo district has been continuously cultivating and expanding its big health industry in recent years, enabling it to become one of the four key emerging industries in the district. 

The forum was jointly organized by the People's Government of Putuo District, Zhejiang Society of Translational Medicine and Zhejiang Society of Cell Biology.
