The 2018 International Islands Tourism Expo will be held at the Putuo Fitness Center, Zhoushan city, Zhejiang province from Sept 19 to 22. 

This is the third consecutive year that the city has held the expo. 

Based on the concept of "global tourism", the expo will focus on exhibiting high-tech and popular tourist goods from home and abroad, and it is hoped that it will promote exchanges with European countries on the occasion of the 2018 European Union (EU)-China Tourism Year.

The expo is on a grander scale than before, both in terms of its area and the number of attendees, with altogether 210 booths in the 8,000-square-meter exhibition hall and 230 institutions and companies invited, including the tourism bureaus of 12 overseas countries and regions, as well as companies from 15 overseas tourist destinations. 

In addition to product exhibitions, there will be special auctions of tickets of popular tourist routes, air tickets, and hotel room tickets during the four-day event, which visitors will be able to buy at a discounted price. 

This year's expo also features an outdoor exhibition zone, where visitors may buy some tourism related items such as tents and outdoor jackets, and try out some high-tech products such as underwater planes and robots.
