Shanghai South Coach Station-Shenjiamen Putuo Coach Station

Address: Shilong Road, Xuhui district, Shanghai (you are recommended to take Metro Line 1 at Shanghai South Railway Station. The coach station is located in the south of the railway station, about a 3 to 4 minutes walk)

Itinerary: about 6 hours

Departure time: 7: 00-19: 10 every day. The shuttle bus departs every hour

Hangzhou East Coach Station-Shenjiamen Putuo Coach Station

Itinerary: about 5 hours

Departure time: 6: 50-18: 00 every day. The shuttle bus departures every half an hour

Tips: after getting off, the tourists need to take a fast ferry at Banshengdong to Mount Putuo

Hangzhou Huanglong Tourism Distribution Center-Shenjiamen Banshengdong Port

Itinerary: about 5 hours

Huanglong departure time: 7:30-16: 30. The shuttle bus departures every hour

Tips: the bus also stops at the main entrance of Wushan Square, Hangzhou.

Ningbo Coach Station (near the Ningbo Railway Station) or Ningbo North Coach Station-Shenjiamen Putuo Bus Station

Itinerary: about 1.5 hours

Departure time: 5: 40-17: 30 every day. The shuttle bus departures every 15 minutes 

Coach Stations in Zhoushan Island

There are three major coach terminals in Zhoushan, Zhoushan (Dinghai) Passenger Transport Center, Shenjiamen Putuo Coach Station and Banshengdong Coach Station. The shuttle buses connect to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo and other cities. The transportation is convenient.

Shuttle buses in Zhoushan Passenger Transport Center also run to Shenjiamen Putuo Bus Station and Banshengdong Bus Station. It is about a 40 minutes’ drive from Dinghai Passenger Transport Center to Banshengdong Bus Station. Buses or taxis are available at Shenjiamen Putuo Bus Station to Banshengdong Bus Station.

Zhoushan (Dinghai) Passenger Transport Center

Address: Huancheng South Road, Dinghai district, close to the Opium War Memorial (Zhushan Park)

Accessible destinations: Ningbo (24 buses every day), Xujiahui, Shanghai and Taopu Road Station (6 express buses every day).

Public bus

There are scheduled rush hour buses and special tourist line buses on major islands, such as Mount Putuo, Daishan Mountain, Shengsi Island and Peach Blossom Island. Apart from bus No 13 and No 57 that charge 2 yuan ($0.313) of fare, other buses charge 3 yuan.
